Francoa sonchifolia, commonly known as Bridal Wreath or Francoa, is an attractive perennial plant that thrives in the Irish climate.

Height/Spread: Francoa sonchifolia typically reaches a height of 60-90 cm (24-36 inches) and spreads about 45-60 cm (18-24 inches).

Position: This plant prefers a partially shaded position in the Irish climate, where it can receive some direct sunlight but also benefit from shade during the hottest part of the day.

Soil: Francoa sonchifolia grows well in moist, well-draining soil. It appreciates a fertile soil enriched with organic matter, but it can adapt to various soil types, including loam, clay, or sandy soils.

Flowering Season: In the Irish climate, Francoa sonchifolia blooms from late spring through summer, typically from June to August. It produces tall spikes of delicate, star-shaped flowers in shades of white, pink, or lavender, adding a lovely touch to gardens during this period.

Uses: Francoa sonchifolia is often used as an ornamental plant in gardens and landscapes due to its elegant flower spikes and attractive foliage. It works well in mixed borders, cottage gardens, and woodland gardens, where its partial shade preference can be accommodated. Additionally, the flowers make beautiful additions to floral arrangements and bouquets.

In the Irish climate, Francoa sonchifolia can thrive if provided with the appropriate conditions of partial shade, moist well-drained soil, and regular watering.
