Fatsia japonica Spiders Web

Fatsia japonica ‘Spider’s Web’ is a striking evergreen noted for its large, hand-shaped leaves finely speckled and edged with white, brightening even deep shade. It thrives in partial to deep shade in moist but well-drained, fertile soil, making an excellent architectural feature for sheltered borders, woodland-style plantings and roomy containers. Rounded clusters of small white flowers appear in autumn for late-season interest; ultimately forms a bold clump to around 2–2.5 m in time. Shelter from cold, drying winds for best foliage.

Position: Partial to deep shade (sheltered)

Rate of Growth: Moderate

Soil: Moist but well-drained, fertile soil

Hardiness: Hardy in most UK regions (to about -10°C)
