DIGITALIS pur. Pink Panther
Foxglove ‘Pink Panther’ is a compact, short-lived perennial (often self-seeding) prized for its upright spires of pink, freckled tubular blooms in early to midsummer. Best in light shade but also suitable in sun if soil remains moist, it thrives in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile, humus-rich soil. Excellent for mixed borders and cottage-style plantings, highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, and useful for cutting. Expect around 60–90cm in height and about 40cm in spread in Irish gardens; deadhead spent spikes to keep plants tidy and potentially prolong the display.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
