Cotinus cog. Lilla
Cotinus cog. Lilla is a compact, deciduous smoke bush valued for its deep purple foliage and airy, smoke-like summer panicles. Best grown in full sun to light shade in moderately fertile, well-drained soil, it forms a neat, bushy shape and offers good seasonal colour. Flower plumes appear in early to mid-summer, and plants are fully hardy, making a striking architectural accent for mixed borders and smaller gardens. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth; expect an eventual size around 1–1.5 m over time.
