Anthemis tinctoria E C Buxton
Anthemis tinctoria ‘E.C. Buxton’ is a free-flowering, clump-forming perennial producing masses of soft lemon-yellow, daisy-like blooms from early to late summer above finely divided green foliage. Best in full sun, it thrives in well-drained, light soils — sandy or chalky and poor to moderately fertile — and benefits from regular deadheading to prolong the display. Drought-tolerant once established, it suits sunny mixed borders, gravel or Mediterranean-style plantings, and is appreciated by pollinators. Approximate eventual size around 60cm tall and 45–60cm wide.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
