Acer pal. Dissectum in cultivars

Acer palmatum Dissectum Group cultivars are compact, mound-forming deciduous trees prized for their finely cut, lace-like foliage and graceful, cascading habit. Best grown in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, preferably slightly acidic soil, they perform in sun or light shade and benefit from shelter from cold, drying winds; young leaves can be marked by late spring frosts. Slow-growing and naturally elegant, they make superb focal points for small gardens and courtyards, and can be grown in containers, bringing reliable seasonal interest with distinctive form and good autumn colour.
