Rudbeckia 'Herbstsonne'
Rudbeckia 'Herbstsonne' is a tall, vigorous herbaceous perennial valued for its large, daisy-like yellow blooms carried on strong, branching stems in late summer. Best in full sun but tolerant of light shade, it thrives in moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil and provides reliable late-season colour in Irish gardens. Excellent for the back of sunny borders, it is attractive to pollinators and may benefit from staking in exposed sites; deadheading can help extend the display.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
