LAVANDULA ang. VERA
Classic English lavender with highly aromatic foliage and blue summer flowers, Lavandula angustifolia ‘Vera’ is best in full sun and well‑drained, light or chalky soil. Compact and bushy, it typically reaches 30–60cm, suiting borders, containers and gravel or Mediterranean‑style plantings. Flowers in mid to late summer are attractive to pollinators, especially bees, and stems are ideal for cutting and drying for sachets or potpourri; foliage is notably aromatic. Once established it copes well with dry, sunny conditions and prefers poor to moderately fertile soils.
