avandula angustifolia 'Munstead' is a compact variety of English lavender well-suited for the Irish climate. It forms dense mounds of aromatic, gray-green foliage and produces an abundance of fragrant purple-blue flowers.

Height/Spread: 'Munstead' typically reaches a height of 30-40cm (12-16 inches) with a spread of 45-60cm (18-24 inches).

Position: This lavender variety thrives in full sun exposure, preferably in a sheltered spot that provides some protection from harsh winds.

Soil: It prefers well-drained soils with a slightly alkaline pH. Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead' can tolerate a range of soil types, including sandy, loamy, or chalky soils.

Flowering Season: The plant blooms from mid to late summer, usually from July to August, attracting bees and other pollinators to its abundant flowers.

Uses: 'Munstead' lavender is highly versatile and finds various uses in the garden and beyond. It serves as a lovely ornamental plant in borders, rockeries, or cottage gardens.
