Prunus l. Angustifolia C45 HS Pleached 55 ltr 110cm stem 120x100

Prunus lusitanica 'Angustifolia' is an evergreen Portugal laurel valued for its narrower, dark green leaves and naturally dense habit, making it excellent for formal screening and clipped structure. It tolerates full sun to full shade and most well-drained garden soils, including chalk or sand. In early summer it produces small clusters of white flowers, and it responds well to regular trimming to maintain a neat, architectural outline. Hardy in Irish gardens, it develops into a substantial tree over time, so routine pruning will help keep the trained framework crisp and effective for privacy.

This tree has been trained to grow flat along a frame, creating a neat, structured shape that is ideal for screening or narrow spaces. Where supplied on a clear stem, the tree was grown to this stem height and then pruned to stop the trunk growing taller. The stem height will remain as supplied, with growth continuing from the trained framework above.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
