Geranium Russell Pritchard
Geranium ‘Russell Pritchard’ is a dependable, mat-forming hardy cranesbill for Irish gardens, valued for its vivid magenta-purple, saucer-shaped flowers carried from early summer into early autumn. Forming a low, spreading mound of lobed green foliage, it thrives in full sun or light shade and prefers moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Compact and versatile at around 30–60cm in height and spread, it’s ideal for the front of borders, as groundcover or edging, and its open blooms are attractive to pollinators.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
