Geranium Johnsons Blue 2 Ltr pot
Geranium (cranesbill) ‘Johnson’s Blue’ is a classic, clump-forming deciduous perennial with finely divided green foliage and masses of saucer-shaped, lavender-blue flowers with darker veining in early to mid-summer. Reliable and easy in Irish gardens, it thrives in full sun or light shade on moist but well-drained, moderately fertile soil, forming a spreading mound to about 50cm tall and 1m wide. Excellent for softening the front of borders and informal cottage-style planting, and valued by pollinators.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
