Astrantia maj. Rosensinfonie 2 Ltr pot

Astrantia major ‘Rosensinfonie’ is a clump-forming, deciduous herbaceous perennial prized for its refined, pincushion-like flower heads with papery bracts held on wiry stems above fresh, lobed foliage. Flowering in early to late summer, it performs best in fertile, humus-rich, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil, thriving in light shade and also in sun if the ground does not dry out. Ideal for mixed and cottage-style borders in Ireland, it is excellent for cutting and valued by pollinators. Deadhead to prolong display, and divide established clumps in spring if needed; fully hardy across Ireland.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
