African Lily Agapanthus Africanus Alba (10Ltr Pot)
Agapanthus africanus ‘Alba’ is an elegant evergreen African lily prized for its clean white, trumpet-shaped flowers held in rounded umbels above clumps of strap-like green leaves. Best in full sun and a fertile, well-drained soil, it is superb for summer display in containers or the front of sunny borders, and its long stems make excellent cut flowers. In Ireland, evergreen Agapanthus are frost-tender: grow in pots so they can be moved to a bright, frost-free place for winter; in very mild, sheltered coastal spots they may be overwintered with protection. Deadhead after flowering and remove spent stems to keep plants tidy.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
