Alchemilla erytropoda 'Alma'
Alchemilla erytropoda ‘Alma’ is a compact, clump-forming lady’s mantle ideal for Irish gardens, making neat mounds of softly scalloped green leaves that catch and bead raindrops. In early to midsummer it carries airy sprays of yellow‑green flowers above the foliage, perfect for edging paths, the front of borders, or tucking into rockeries. Best in sun or light shade and moist but well‑drained, moderately fertile soil, it forms low, tidy groundcover around 15–20cm tall and 30–40cm across.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
