Lenten Rose (Helleborus Charmer)
Helleborus ‘Charmer’ is a reliable Lenten rose forming neat, long-lived clumps with leathery, semi-evergreen foliage and elegant, cup-shaped blooms in late winter and early spring. Ideal for shaded borders and woodland-style plantings, it prefers partial shade and thrives in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, tolerating clay and chalk on the alkaline side. Fully hardy and low maintenance, it provides valuable early-season interest and nectar for pollinators, growing to around 30–60cm tall and wide—perfect for underplanting shrubs or brightening the front of a shady border.
