Helleborus ViV Serafina

Helleborus ViV Serafina is a Lenten rose selection prized for its long-lasting winter-to-early spring blooms held above leathery, semi-evergreen foliage. It thrives in light shade with moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil and is ideal for brightening woodland edges or planting beneath deciduous shrubs and trees where it benefits from winter light and summer shelter. Once established it is low-maintenance—mulch annually to conserve moisture and feed the roots, avoid waterlogging, and allow clumps to settle undisturbed. Flowers provide valuable early nectar for bees and other pollinators in Irish gardens.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
