Helleborus orientalis mix P12
A classic Lenten rose mix offering semi-evergreen clumps of dark green foliage and outward- to slightly nodding blooms from late winter into spring. Colours vary through soft whites, blush and pink tones to mauves and fresh greens, sometimes attractively speckled, making valuable winter interest for partially shaded borders and under deciduous shrubs. Best in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil that is neutral to alkaline, and tolerant of both chalk and heavier clay. Fully hardy and of average vigour, plants typically form neat mounds around 45cm tall and wide in Irish gardens.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
