Helenium 'Lemon Sundae'
Helenium 'Lemon Sundae' is a clump-forming, herbaceous perennial grown for its abundant, daisy-like blooms with clear lemon-yellow rays surrounding prominent brown cones, providing vibrant colour from midsummer into early autumn. Best in full sun and a moisture-retentive, fertile, well-drained soil, it is fully hardy in Ireland and ideal for mixed or cottage-style borders where its midsummer display supports pollinators. Deadhead spent flowers to extend the season, and stake if needed in exposed sites. Typical plants form a compact, branching clump around 60–90cm tall.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
