Malus d. Katy, also known as Malus d. Katja, is a delightful and compact apple tree variety that thrives in the Irish climate. This apple tree is highly sought after for its ornamental value and its ability to produce flavorful fruits.

Height/Spread: Malus d. Katy/Katja typically reaches a height of 8-10 feet (2.4-3 meters) with a spread of 6-8 feet (1.8-2.4 meters). Its compact size makes it suitable for smaller gardens and spaces.

Position: This apple tree variety thrives in full sun to partial shade, making it well-suited for the Irish climate. It prefers a location that receives ample sunlight for optimal fruit production. It is important to choose a spot that is sheltered from strong winds to protect the delicate blossoms and fruits.

Soil: Malus d. Katy/Katja prefers well-draining, loamy soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH level.
