Rosa 'Gertrude Jekyll'
Rosa 'Gertrude Jekyll' is a celebrated David Austin English shrub rose bearing large, rich deep pink rosette blooms with a strong, classic old-rose perfume; it is repeat-flowering in flushes from early summer into autumn. Forming a bushy, upright shrub, it typically reaches about 1.2–1.5m in height with a spread of roughly 1–1.2m, thriving in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Excellent in mixed borders and dedicated rose beds, and valued for cutting thanks to its sumptuous colour and powerful fragrance.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
