Prunus Incisa Kojou No Mai

Prunus incisa ‘Kojo-no-mai’ is a compact, deciduous Fuji cherry valued for its graceful zig‑zag stems and showy early blossom. In early spring (March to April), pink buds open to single white flowers that clothe the branches and provide nectar for pollinators. Fresh green foliage follows, developing rich orange to red autumn colour. Naturally small and slow-growing, it suits modest gardens and courtyard spaces, typically reaching around 2.5m high and wide in time. Grow in full sun, in moderately fertile, moist but well‑drained soil. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
