Prunus triloba

Prunus triloba is a deciduous, spring‑flowering ornamental almond valued for its abundant soft pink blossom on bare shoots in mid to late spring, bringing cheerful colour before the new leaves emerge. Compact and well‑suited to smaller gardens, it performs best in full sun and moist but well‑drained, moderately fertile soil. After flowering, light pruning can be used to maintain shape and encourage vigorous young shoots that will bear the following spring’s display. Fully hardy in Ireland.
