PRUNUS S. PENDULA RUBRA T.G.

Prunus × subhirtella 'Pendula Rubra' is a graceful weeping cherry prized for its elegant, arching habit and display of pink blossom in spring. Best in full sun and a moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil, it makes a striking specimen for lawns, courtyards or near seating areas where the pendulous branches can be appreciated. Deciduous green foliage follows the blossom. Fully hardy in Ireland; prune only lightly after flowering to maintain shape if required.
