Prunus incisa Kojou-no-mai CAC

Prunus incisa 'Kojou-no-mai' is a compact, deciduous Fuji cherry prized for its early spring display and neat, zig‑zag branching. In March to April, masses of single white flowers, often opening from pink buds, cloak the framework before the fresh green leaves emerge; foliage then develops good red to orange autumn colour. Fully hardy and well suited to Irish gardens, it grows best in full sun or light shade in moist but well‑drained, moderately fertile soil, making an excellent choice for small gardens and containers. Expect a naturally dense, rounded habit maturing to around 1.5m in height and spread over time, with a slow growth rate.
