Olea Europaea SPIRAL STEM
Olea europaea trained as a spiral stem topiary offers a striking, evergreen architectural feature with narrow green leaves that have a silvery underside. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, it is ideal for containers or as a formal accent by entrances and along pathways. Slow-growing and naturally drought-tolerant once established, olives suit warm, sheltered positions, including coastal locations. Maintain the clean spiral outline with light clipping during the growing season, and avoid waterlogged conditions, especially in winter.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
