Acer pal. Shaina
Acer palmatum 'Shaina' is a compact, dense, deciduous Japanese maple valued for its rich red foliage. New leaves emerge bright red in spring, deepen through summer, and turn crimson-red in autumn. Grow in moist but well-drained, fertile, humus-rich soil that is acid to neutral, in sun or light shade with shelter from cold winds. Its naturally slow growth and neat habit make it an excellent feature for smaller gardens and sheltered courtyards.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
