Acer pal. Pixie P23
Acer palmatum 'Pixie' is a compact, slow-growing Japanese maple valued for its rich red foliage that emerges vibrant in spring, holds deep red tones through summer, and turns brilliant crimson in autumn. Forming a small, bushy tree with a neat, rounded habit, it prefers a sheltered spot with sun or light shade and moist but well-drained, fertile, acid to neutral soil. Tiny red spring flowers may be followed by winged fruits, but this cultivar is chiefly prized for its foliage colour and refined structure, making it an excellent choice for small gardens, courtyards, and as a focal specimen.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
