Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple,' commonly known as Smokebush, is a captivating deciduous shrub cherished for its stunning deep purple foliage and unique, smoky inflorescences. In the Irish climate, this striking shrub can add a touch of drama and color to gardens, making it a favored choice for landscape enthusiasts.

Height/Spread: 'Royal Purple' can reach a height of about 3-5 meters (10-16 feet) with a spread of 2.5-4 meters (8-13 feet). Its upright, bushy form creates an eye-catching presence in the landscape.

Position: This Cotinus variety thrives in a position with full sun to partial shade. While it can tolerate different light levels, it develops the most intense purple foliage coloration when exposed to ample sunlight.
