Purple Moor Grass Molinia Caerulea Heidebraut (2Ltr Pot)
Molinia caerulea ‘Heidebraut’ is a clump-forming, deciduous ornamental grass valued for its neat, upright habit and fine, arching green leaves that turn rich golden-yellow in autumn. Airy flower stems rise in mid to late summer with elegant, purple-tinged panicles that add height and movement without overwhelming nearby planting. Best in full sun or light shade on moist but well-drained, moderately fertile, preferably acid to neutral soil, it is fully hardy in Ireland and very low maintenance. Ideal as an architectural accent in mixed borders and naturalistic schemes; cut back old foliage to the base in late winter before new growth starts.
To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
