Cytisus racemosa, commonly known as Broom Bush, is a beautiful flowering shrub that thrives in the Irish climate. It possesses distinct qualities that make it an excellent choice for various uses in Irish gardens.

Height/Spread: Cytisus racemosa typically reaches a height of 3-6 feet (90-180 centimeters) with a spread of 4-6 feet (120-180 centimeters), providing a medium-sized shrub that adds structure and interest to garden landscapes in Ireland.

Position: Broom Bush flourishes in full sun positions, making it well-suited for the Irish climate. It thrives in locations that receive ample sunlight throughout the day, contributing to its healthy growth and vibrant blooms.

Soil: Cytisus racemosa prefers well-drained soil, and it can tolerate a range of soil types, including sandy or loamy soil. In the Irish climate, ensuring good drainage is crucial to prevent waterlogging and maintain the plant's health.
