Every order is carefully packed at our garden centre in Dún Laoghaire and delivered throughout Ireland & Northern Ireland.

Height/Spread: Acer conspicuum 'Red Flamingo' typically reaches a height of 15-20 feet (4.5-6 meters) with a spread of 10-15 feet (3-4.5 meters), forming an upright and vase-shaped small tree.

Position: This Acer variety thrives in a position that receives partial shade to full sun, but benefits from some protection from harsh afternoon sun and strong winds.

Soil: It prefers well-draining soil that is fertile, moist, and rich in organic matter. A slightly acidic to neutral soil pH range of 6.0-7.5 suits its growth.

Flowering Season: 'Red Flamingo' is primarily grown for its stunning foliage rather than its flowers. The leaves emerge in spring with vibrant pink and white variegation, gradually maturing to green with pink margins as the season progresses.

Uses: This Acer variety is highly valued for its ornamental qualities and is commonly used as a specimen tree or focal point in gardens. Its striking foliage adds color and interest, particularly in spring and autumn. It can also be grown in large containers to enhance patios or smaller spaces.
