Prunus laur. Otto Luyken
A compact, low, evergreen cherry laurel forming a broad mound of narrow, glossy dark-green leaves. In late spring it carries upright racemes of small white flowers, often followed by black berries. Reliable in sun or shade and well-suited to low hedges, foundations and shaded borders, it thrives in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Moderate growth; fully hardy; expect around 1–1.5m tall and 1.5–2.5m wide over time.
