Ceanothus thry Repens
Evergreen and low-growing with a spreading habit, this ceanothus forms a dense groundcover of glossy green foliage and bears masses of soft to mid-blue flower clusters in late spring to early summer. Ideal for banks, rock gardens, spilling over walls or as cascading groundcover, and valued for attracting pollinating insects. Best in full sun with well-drained, moderately fertile soil; tolerates light shade and, once established, periods of dry weather. Eventual height around 30–60cm with a wide spread to 1.8–4m; provide a sheltered, sunny site out of cold, drying winds.
