Agapanthus Charlotte
Agapanthus Charlotte is a compact, clump-forming perennial prized for its elegant, strappy green leaves and generous midsummer umbels of rich blue, trumpet-shaped flowers that draw in bees and other pollinators. Ideal for sunny borders and containers, it thrives in moist, well-drained, moderately fertile soil and is a great choice for coastal and low-maintenance schemes. Expect a neat habit around 60–90 cm tall, with reliable flowering from mid to late summer; deadhead spent stems to prolong display and feed in spring for best results. Hardy in most gardens (pot-grown plants appreciate winter protection in severe cold), it pairs beautifully with grasses and Mediterranean-style planting and also makes excellent cut flowers.
