If you love Helleborus ‘Christmas Carol’, you’ll adore the Helleborus ViV® Collection! Extending the hellebore season from as early as September right through to late spring, these beautiful varieties bring delicate blooms and welcome colour to pots, patios and garden borders during the darker, colder months.
Every plant in the ViV® Collection undergoes rigorous testing, and only the very best make the grade. Frost hardiness, an exceptionally long flowering season and an abundance of beautiful blooms are among the key qualities required to earn the prestigious ViV® label.

Growing Hellebores Successfully
Hellebores are wonderfully rewarding plants for Irish gardens. They generally prefer partial shade and fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Avoid waterlogged conditions, particularly during our wet winters. If you are planting in pots, prefer the John innes no.2 compost, as these beauties prefer a slightly alkaline soil. They do not like to be disturbed; it will slow down their growth. Once you have found the ideal location, avoid moving them.
For a beautiful autumn display, plant them in decorative containers alongside heathers, cyclamen, heucheras and evergreen foliage. Keep containers watered but never soggy and position them near your front door or patio where their flowers can be admired every day.
Once established in the garden, hellebores will return year after year, bringing welcome colour through the darkest seasons. Remember that all parts of hellebores are toxic if eaten (for humans and pets), so handle them with care and keep them out of reach of young children and animals. On another hand, they provide a valuable source of food for pollinators during the colder months.
A Little Autumn Magic
Whether you're refreshing your entrance with seasonal pots or adding long-lasting colour to a shady border, the ViV® Helleborus Collection offers something truly special. With their exquisite flowers and enduring charm, these beautiful perennials remind us that the garden can be just as enchanting in autumn and winter as it is in spring.
