It forms dense tussocks of rough-edged green leaves and performs best in full sun and in moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Flower plumes are typically silvery white and appear from late summer into autumn, standing well through winter for structure. Ideal as a focal point, screen or backdrop in larger borders and gravel plantings.
