Young leaves emerge in spring flushed bright pink with cream and green marbling, softening through summer before turning vibrant crimson to scarlet in autumn. With a naturally graceful, compact habit, it is ideal for containers, courtyards and sheltered borders. Grow in moist but well-drained, preferably acidic to neutral soil in light shade, and protect from cold, drying winds and strong midday sun to minimise leaf scorch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n  \u003cstrong\u003eThis is a standard tree with a clear stem and a shaped crown above.\u003c\/strong\u003e\n  The tree was grown up to this stem height and then pruned to stop the trunk growing taller.
