Sangokaku 100-125 cm Deco 15L. bush\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAcer palmatum 'Sango-kaku'\u003c\/strong\u003e, the coral-bark maple, is a graceful, deciduous Japanese maple prized for its vivid coral-red young stems that glow through autumn and winter for strong seasonal interest. The finely divided leaves emerge yellow-green in spring, turn fresh green in summer, and take on clear yellow to warm apricot tones in autumn. Best grown in moist, humus-rich, slightly acidic, well-drained soil, it prefers partial shade and a sheltered position away from cold, drying winds and hot afternoon sun to prevent leaf scorch. Over time it forms a small tree or large shrub with elegant branching, typically reaching several metres, making an excellent specimen for architectural and Asian-inspired gardens.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp style=\"margin-top:32px;margin-bottom:8px;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height.
