Best in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, slightly acidic soil, it prefers dappled light and shelter from cold, drying winds to avoid leaf scorch. An elegant choice for specimen planting in courtyards, woodland-edge settings, or Japanese-inspired gardens where its cascading framework and seasonal display can be fully appreciated.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n  \u003cstrong\u003eThis is a standard tree with a clear stem and a shaped crown above.\u003c\/strong\u003e\n  The tree was grown up to this stem height and then pruned to stop the trunk growing taller.
