C 30L\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAcer palmatum (Dissectum Group) 'Flavescens'\u003c\/strong\u003e is a finely cut, lace-leaved Japanese maple with a graceful, cascading crown. Spring foliage opens soft yellow to yellow-green, deepening to fresh green in summer before developing rich golden and orange tones in autumn. Naturally compact and dome-forming, it makes an elegant focal point for small gardens, courtyards and Japanese-style schemes. Grow in sun or light shade in a sheltered position, in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained, preferably slightly acidic soil. Minimal pruning is needed; protecting from drying winds and the hottest midday sun helps reduce leaf scorch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n  \u003cstrong\u003eThis is a standard tree with a clear stem and a shaped crown above.\u003c\/strong\u003e\n  The tree was grown up to this stem height and then pruned to stop the trunk growing taller.
